One of the goals of the curriculum at Crescent Middle School (CMS) is to integrate Islamic principles into all areas of instruction and experience, to facilitate the well-balanced growth and development of Muslim children spiritually and academically.
This goal is realized through the core aspects of the middle school curriculum. A central team of highly qualified teachers delivers and effectively integrates instruction in these core areas of learning:
- English literature analysis and writing composition
- Oral, visual, and technological communication building
- Qur’anic Arabic, grammar and linguistics
- Accelerated pre-Algebra in grades 6 and 7
- Algebra 1 in grade 8
- Earth and life science
- Physics and chemistry with full labs
- History, geography, economics, and public discourse and decision making
- Islamic studies, hadith, tafsir, tajweed and Qur’an memorization
