One of the goals of the curriculum at Crescent Middle School (CMS) is to integrate Islamic principles into all areas of instruction and experience, to facilitate the well-balanced growth and development of Muslim children spiritually and academically.

This goal is realized through the core aspects of the middle school curriculum. A central  team of highly qualified teachers delivers and effectively integrates instruction in these core areas of learning: 

  • English literature analysis and writing composition
  • Oral, visual, and technological communication building 
  • Qur’anic Arabic, grammar and linguistics
  • Accelerated pre-Algebra in grades 6 and 7
  • Algebra 1 in grade 8
  • Earth and life science
  • Physics and chemistry with full labs
  • History, geography, economics, and public discourse and decision making
  • Islamic studies, hadith, tafsir, tajweed and Qur’an memorization
