Thank you for considering Crescent Academy International - a fully accredited school. In applying for admission, you are beginning the journey toward an exceptional Islamic-focused academic and moral education for your child during the critical years through middle school.
An investment in your child’s future is an important decision. Ensuring that you are fully informed and aligned with Crescent’s educational goals, and comfortable with our student-centered learning environment, is key to your child’s success. Our admissions process considers various factors to ensure that Crescent Academy International is an optimal fit for students and their families – giving each child an opportunity to succeed, contribute and grow. Admissions Process
- Apply for Enrollment. Submit your completed Crescent Enrollment Application and other required forms to our admissions office. Include all required supporting documentation and non-refundable application fee.
- Admissions Interview. Our admissions office will contact you to schedule an meeting. Our admissions staff will answer any questions you may have and discuss your child’s goals to better understand if Crescent is a good fit. We will also review your child’s portfolio, recommendations and behavioral history. Students in grades 5 and above will also be interviewed.
- Student Evaluation. As part of the admissions process, students are required to take an evaluation exam to determine their level of academic placement. Students in grades 1 and above take a standardized test, while those who are younger are assessed by a small team of teachers.
Crescent Academy International News
Crescent Academy International earns highest possible environmental stewardship designation as part of a southeast Michigan “Green Schools” initiative.
Crescent students qualify for Academic Games state tournament, a competition in which players win by out-thinking each other and devising challenging solutions in mathematics, language arts and social studies.
Since 2001, Crescent preschoolers have participated in a Trike-A-Thon fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, generating an estimated $75,000 in donations.
Donations are accepted to help keep students busy and stimulated indoors while cold weather prevents outdoor recess.
Crescent Academy International provided relief to families in drought-plagued Somalia by raising $28,000 for the construction of eight new water wells.
