Legacy
a legacy of honor, goodness & Grace
For nearly three decades, Crescent Academy International has transformed students into leaders of character who achieve success in high school and go on to make outstanding contributions to society with a solid Islamic faith-based foundation.
Our alumni network, now several thousand strong, includes men and women around the world who have achieved leadership and self-fulfillment in a variety of fields – from technology and medicine to education and nonprofits. A trait that binds Crescent Academy International alumni is a willingness, with Allah’s help and mercy, to give back to their communities and integrate their Muslim faith and practice into their lives.
Our alumni stay connected and often show their appreciation for the value of a Crescent Academy International education through their generous donations and volunteer efforts. They represent the greatest legacy of our commitment to educate the “total person,” and serve as an inspiration for today’s students.

“My goal is to inspire the next generation, not just in soccer but in life.”

Q. What are you doing today?
A. Today, I am fully immersed in my role as a franchise owner of Soccer Stars, a youth soccer program to help kids in Central Wayne County grow both on and off the field. My day often involves planning and leading soccer sessions that teach children the fundamentals of the game in a fun and nurturing environment. I work closely with families, schools and community organizations to ensure our program reaches as many young athletes as possible, empowering them to develop confidence, teamwork, and resilience.
Q. What else does your role involve?
A. Beyond coaching, I also oversee the program's operations, manage a team of dedicated coaches, and continually look for ways to expand our impact – like building partnerships with schools and recreation departments. My goal is always to inspire the next generation, not just in soccer but in life.
Q. Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
A. I enjoy learning more about Islam, spending time with family, trying new food, and working with children.
Q. How has your Crescent experience helped shape your life or career so far?
A. Without Crescent, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Crescent taught me to ground myself in Islam, a lesson that continues to guide me through every challenge. Whenever I face difficult times – whether it’s hardship, doubt, or loneliness – I find strength in my connection with Allah. Crescent nurtured that connection, teaching me that Allah is always there, no matter the circumstances. This foundation has given me the resilience and faith to move forward with purpose and confidence, even in life’s toughest moments.
