4th Graders Showcase Vehicle Coding Skills

Two fourth grade teams participated in the Square One Education Network’s V2X STEM competition, a hands-on event focused on emerging automotive technologies and vehicle autonomy.

Leading up to the event, all fourth grade students worked in teams to program Microbit-based tabletop robots equipped with sensors to complete real-world driving tasks such as obstacle avoidance and line following.

Through this experience, students explored coding, engineering and sensor integration in a fun and authentic way.

At the competition, one of the Crescent Academy International teams proudly earned the 2nd Place Pitch Perfect award for impressing the judges with their vehicle design, coding, and outstanding presentation skills.
